Looking back this happened two, three may be four weeks too early as the property was not finished. We had no curtains, the bathroom had no storage, dodgy electrics and the shower leaked, there was no post box, there weren't even any rubbish bins.
However the Property Manager was very happy to inform us that an extra layer of tiles had been added at the end of the bath. She was also very excited as she had chosen the colour of the blinds and curtains!
Our 'furnished' property didn't have a sofa or table as listed on the inventory. The bedroom furniture was the cheapest stuff that could be found and any proper use would return it to it's cardboard origins. The bed was described as a 'double', it wasn't a standard double it was a 4' wide double, just 6 inches wider than a single. All this in a property marketed at professionals! It was also absolutely filthy from the building works!!
Our concern grew when we went to the office to collect the post box key, which had been finally been secured in place. We noticed that the administrator's desk was covered in Deposit Dispute forms. We wen't sure whether to put this down to the type of clientele RMA Properties actually specialise in or this was something for the Christmas Party fund.
If you are a professional looking for accommodation to rent in Oxford city, I think you would be best advised to avoid RMA Properties at all costs!
